Having been in business for over twenty four years, Dolce Family Ristorante owner, Suthan Rasa, shared his journey in the restaurant industry. Dolce Family Ristorante is located in Caledon Village and was opened after Rasa had found success in the culinary realm within other areas of Peel. Rasa mentioned his working at Suca, Tutto Pronto and Alioli and how they helped him identify what he wanted from Dolce. Since Italian food was Rasa’s second meal after immigrating to Canada from Sri Lanka, he instantly felt passion for the cuisine. His customers remain dedicated to this business as they have shifted their business to takeout due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Suthan mentioned his best selling items are his varieties of pastas and gnocchis. Dolce Family Ristorante, meaning “sweet family restaurant,” is, according to Suthan, “a shop with good quality with happy workers serving happy customers.”
